All Elite Wrestling continues to load up the card for the June 28 episode of AEW Dynamite.
As announced by AEW CEO Tony Khan, Jon Moxley will clash with Tomohiro Ishii on the show. Moxley and Ishii were on opposite sides of a 10-man tag team match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, where Ishii scored the win for his team, which included the Elite and Eddie Kingston, against Blackpool Combat Club, Konosuke Takeshita, and Shota Umino.
Additionally, fans will hear from “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry on AEW Dynamite.
Perry shockingly turned on his JungleHOOK tag team partner, HOOK, at AEW x NHPW Forbidden Door on June 25. At the pay-per-view, SANADA defeated Perry to retain the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, and the loss seemingly prompted Perry’s betrayal.
AEW has officially announced that Perry will speak on Wednesday’s show.
The updated card is as follows:
“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry will speak
Owen Hart Foundation Cup Women’s Tournament: Ruby Soho vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
Tornado Tag Team Match: Sting & Darby Allin vs. Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara
WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Dynamite as it airs on Wednesday.
While it looks like they might be feuding now, Perry was asked how teaming with HOOK has helped him grow as a wrestler during a recent interview with WrestleZone. Perry said he admired how HOOK carried himself and got over on his wrestling ability first.
”Since the day HOOK came in, I very much appreciated how little he not only talks but tries to go out of his way to — I think a lot of these second-generation guys come in very confident and probably overconfident and thinking they’re hot shit and kind of feeling entitled to things,” Perry explained. “And HOOK was not like that at all. He came in; he was a quiet dude. You might not even know he’s there if you didn’t look for him. But compared to those guys, HOOK goes out, and he gets a lot bigger of a reaction, in my opinion. He goes out there and said two words, and people are going crazy. They love him.
Story continues
“And that was something for me that I always wanted people to either like me or dislike me just based on my wrestling ability and not what I said or who I was or whatever. It’s like I want to go out there half-naked and wrestle. You’re either gonna like it, or you’re not. And I think we kind of have a similar feeling on that and kind of just who we want to be compared to,” Perry added, “kind of like our family lineage or whatever. And I think we have a mutual respect in that regard.”
