John Fury insists his outburst at Tuesday’s press conference for son Tommy’s fight against KSI was not for publicity and has hit out at both the YouTuber and Logan Paul.
Wembley Arena descended into all-out chaos when Fury senior started flipping and kicking over tables, with a legion of security men required to hold back the 59-year-old as he tried to get his hands on KSI.
Youngest son Tommy has now confirmed that it was a remark about heavyweight champion Tyson Fury’s upcoming bout against UFC star Francis Ngannou that triggered his father and forced the press conference to come to a premature end.
Asked if KSI’s comment had prompted the outburst, Tommy told reporters: ‘Yeah, these guys they shouldn’t even have the audacity to mention heavyweight champions at the top of their games.
‘These guys are fools. Yeah, they might be celebrities around the world but they have no business in this boxing game. When they come over to boxing they’re absolutely nobody, I don’t care how many followers they’ve got.’
Speaking to Misfits Boxing, he added: ‘The Hulk erupted! The Hulk went green, he went from David Banner [sic] to the Hulk in seconds. Listen, it’s good. It’s called the entertainment business for a reason.’
But John was adamant his ire was not put on to sell the fight – which takes place on October 14 – and remained just as irate after he had left the stage, slamming both KSI and Paul.

Speaking after the melee, Fury senior said: ‘The only trouble is I’m not trying to entertain, I f***ing mean it. I’ll take somebody’s life, me, in these places.
‘I wanna see some action. People are paying good money to see it, let’s see it.
‘We can talk words but talk does nothing. Actions speak louder than words. I’m prepared to go, I’ll rock and roll anywhere, anytime, anyplace.

‘I’ve never been beaten in my life out in that ring ever! And those schoolboys couldn’t even come close.
‘Honestly, I’ve wiped my a*** on better men than any of them. Any one of them. And they’re sat there talking about this, that and the other – about what people do in bedrooms and all that s***.
‘I’m a real man. I’m the only man on the island. I’ve said it before. John Fury! That’s me! End of.’
Reacting to John Fury’s explosive behaviour, KSI said: ‘It was chaos, absolute chaos. John Fury, what a mad man.’
