16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena recently made a shocking return to the Stamford-based promotion. He recently revealed that his current run in the company is to live in the moment.
The Leader of the Cenation recently made his debut in an Indian wrestling ring. He was in the main event of the WWE Superstar Spectacle special event. He teamed up with the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. The duo teamed up to take on Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci of Imperium.
Hours before his match, John Cena addressed the media personnel in India. He was asked if he would look to challenge Gunther next in order to attempt to win the Intercontinental Championship for the first time. The Hollywood megastar revealed that his current focus is more on the amount of moments he can create in the ring rather than targetting opponents.
“I don’t know if I’m in a perspective to say I got targets. Right now I’m more worried about moments, or I’m more interested in moments and tonight is my next moment,” John Cena said.
The veteran also mentioned that his focus on that night was being a good tag team partner for Seth Rollins.
“So, you never know what’s going to happen out there. I hope I can be a great partner for Seth as good as he is the champion. Normally, a few years ago, I’d have said something different. I would’ve said maybe I’d be doing the yeoman’s work. But right now, as I’ve aged a little bit and the Sun is setting on my existence, I just hope I can be a great partner for Seth.”
John Cena’s next appearance is on this week’s SmackDown as part of the Grayson Waller Effect.
