Brittney Griner’s trial continues in a Russian court after she unintentionally pleaded guilty to having cannabis oil cartridges for vaping in her luggage, for those drug charges she could receive up to 10 years in prison.
Several personalities have spoken out in favor of Griner’s release, even a changer.org petition was already made and signed by millions of people

“Fuck, it’s horrible. It’s for nothing. It’s like she’s the clearest form of political prisoner. ” he said on his show.
“I’m not a very political person, in that sense,” Rogan said. “I’d like to see them resolve this, but I think it’s just one part of a bigger problem.”

Lawyers for WNBA star Brittney Griner, who is on trial in Russia on drug possession and smuggling charges, argued in court that the athlete was prescribed the medical use of cannabis in the United States.
They also added that the basketball player underwent a medical checkup this year due to severe chronic pain she is suffering from.
