Jimmy Butler responds to courtside bettor’s heckles: ‘I paid for my house in cash’

We know, we know. NBA players do not care about your parlays. At all.

That doesn’t mean some of them won’t have fun with bettors who are jawing at the pros while sitting courtside. Sometimes it’s pretty deserved, too.

While the Miami Heat were in Memphis earlier this week to take on the Grizzlies, one bettor lost his wager but got an epic response from Jimmy Butler while begging the Miami star to score at least 20 points.

Butler had no sympathy for the man and let him know by reminding him how much money he earns on the court compared.

I’m not sure what’s funnier: that Butler responded to him while the ball was in play or that Butler did not, in fact, score 20 points that night.

While the Heat won, 108-102, Butler finished with just 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting with just two 3-pointers made.

The bettor may have lost, but he got an excellent moment out of it all.
