Jimbo Fisher accepted blame for Texas A&M’s home loss to Appalachian State, 17-14, as the Mountaineers ate up loads of clock and controlled the time of possession 41:30 to 18:30.

Asked about quarterback play, Fisher said that the Aggies would evaluate everything as Haynes King was 13-for-20 passing for 97 yards, and also chipped in 8 carries for 23 yards. Fisher said the coaching staff considered Max Johnson, but the lack of possessions played a factor.

The Aggies play Miami next week.

Fisher added that the Aggies still have a chance to have a really good team, and the program is still there.
