Jey Uso Avoids Declaring Loyalty To Bloodline, Jimmy Uso Inadvertently Costs Jey US Title On 6/9 SmackDown

The saga of Jey Uso continues.
Jey Uso took on the burden of his familial dysfunction on WWE SmackDown on June 16. Paul Heyman told Jey in the first section of the program that Roman Reigns has always wanted Jey to be the next “Tribal Chief,” and that Jimmy has loathed Jey for it from day one. Heyman set up a main event match between Jey Uso and United States Champion Austin Theory.

Later, backstage, Sami Zayn told Jey Uso that he wished they could spend more time together as members of the Bloodline, but blamed it on Roman Reigns for driving them apart.
Zayn stated that if he wanted to be the next Tribal Chief, he was free to do so, but he should be aware of the repercussions of his decisions.
While Jey Uso was unable to choose between his allegiance to Roman Reigns and his desire for Paul Heyman to leave The Bloodline if he remained a member.
The drama boiled over in the United States Title match as Pretty Deadly arrived at ringside ready to attack Jey, but Jimmy Uso intervened and saved him. Solo Sikoa attacked Jimmy from behind before attempting the Samoan Spike, which Jey blocked. Jimmy eventually smacked Jey with an unintentional Superlick. Jimmy and Sikoa got into a fight on the outside, allowing Theory to pin Jey.
Jey Uso left the ring dejected to close the show.
