The Jets added some speed to their offense on Wednesday.
The team agreed to terms with wide receiver Mecole Hardman, according to a source.
The NFL Network reported it is a one-year deal worth up to $6.5 million.
The 25-year-old speedster just underwent surgery to repair a core injury last month.
He played only eight games in the regular season last year for the Chiefs.
He initially suffered the injury in Week 9 and landed on injured reserve.
He returned for the AFC Championship game but reaggravated the injury and left the game — and did not return for the Super Bowl.
Hardman was a second-round pick in 2019 by Kansas City. He has played 57 games, starting 26 for Kansas City.

He has 151 catches for 2,088 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also has rushed 20 times for 125 yards and two touchdowns.
Last season, Hardman caught 25 passes for 297 yards and four touchdowns and had four carries for 31 yards and two touchdowns.
Hardman gives the Jets another weapon on offense as they wait for a trade for quarterback Aaron Rodgers to be completed.
The Jets signed Allen Lazard last week making their receiving corps look like this: Lazard, Hardman, Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore and Denzel Mims.

Corey Davis remains on the Jets roster but he is expected to be either traded or released in the coming weeks.
There has been speculation Davis could be part of the Rodgers trade.
