Former Call the Midwife star Jessica Raine will lead Amazon Prime’s mind-bending thriller The Devil’s Hour.
The series follows the story of Raine’s Lucy, who is woken every night by terrifying visions at exactly 3.33am: the devil’s hour. Her eight-year-old son is withdrawn and emotionless. Her mother speaks to empty chairs.
Her house is haunted by the echoes of a life that isn’t her own. When Lucy’s name is inexplicably connected to a string of brutal murders in the area, the answers that have evaded her all these years will finally come into focus.
Peter Capaldi plays a reclusive nomad, driven by a murderous obsession. He becomes the prime target of a police manhunt led by compassionate detective Ravi Dhillon, played by Nikesh Patel.

The Devil’s Hour: release date
There isn’t an official release date just yet, but it’s expected to arrive on Amazon Prime Video at the end of the year.

The Devil’s Hour: What’s it about?
The trippy six-part series follows troubled protagonist Lucy, who wakes every night by terrifying visions at exactly 3.33am – aka the devil’s hour. Her eight-year-old son is withdrawn and emotionless. Her house is haunted by the echoes of a life that isn’t her own.
When Lucy’s name is inexplicably connected to a string of brutal murders in the area, the answers that have evaded her all these years will finally come into focus.
Meanwhile, Capaldi’s dangerous character is on a murderous campaign and is being hunted by the police.
The Devil’s Hour: The Cast
Former Call the Midwife and Line of Duty star Jessica Raine takes the lead as Lucy, while Doctor Who’s Peter Capaldi plays a seemingly dangerous recluse. Nikesh Patel plays an empathetic detective Ravi Dhillon, on the hunt for Capaldi’s character.
The cast also includes Meera Syal (Yesterday), Alex Ferns (Chernobyl), Phil Dunster (Ted Lasso), Barbara Marten (Sanctuary), Thomas Dominique (Blood Drive), Rhiannon Harper-Rafferty, John Alastair (Swimming with Men), Sandra Huggett (Coronation Street) and newcomer Benjamin Chivers.
The Devil’s Hour will launch on Amazon Prime Video.
