Jeremy Vine in mortifying spoof rail strike tweet blunder after failing to spot huge clue

Jeremy Vine has appeared to fall for a spoof rail strike tweet – having read it out on air. The Channel 5 presenter introduced a tweet from ‘Sir Michael Take CBE’ – or Mickey Take, to all the uneducated.

In a spoof tweet, ‘Michael’ reflected on the topic of the rail strikes this week. He had posted: “Our old boys dinner at the Ritz has been cancelled because of the rail strike. Usually we meet up and raise money for our old school.

“Thanks to Mick Lynch and his cronies this won’t happen. A public school is now without vital funds and some poor elderly men missing pals to talk to.” ‘Michael’ then shared a clip of Jeremy from his show reading the tweet out.

“The anger was triggered yesterday – I am going to show you a tweet from Sir Michael Take,” Jeremy said, before reading the message. Michael tweeted: “Very pleased to see my common sense opinions about The Rail Strike were featured on @theJeremyVine ’s TV Programme this morning. I’m delighted that viewers of @JeremyVineOn5 were able to listen to my views on all of this industrial action.”

“Would be wonderful if Sir Michael could appear on Vine, GB News and Radio Concrete,” laughed one. Germ said: “”Apparently, he says, an ex-Tory MP”. Good grief Sir Michael, the service you have provided to this country and the tree trunk solid people of Dorset is nothing short of exemplary! Go and brew yourself a well deserved cup of tea and have a biscuit too.”

“Spoofed! Illustrating the depth of research done by mainstream media,” James said. Barrie laughed: “You are a leader, shaper and projector of public opinion. Surely ‘Lord’ Take is on the horizon!!!”

“I’m not keen on Jeremy (militant cyclist) usually, I prefer his Mum Sarah but I’m glad for once he seems to be on the right side of the argument,” Dougal said.
