Although plenty of stars still broke out their formal wear, the Golden Globes this year were a much more dressed-down affair due to the socially distanced nature of the show. Bill Murray made an early splash for his Hawaiian shirt paired with a Martini, but Jason Sudeikis won the unofficial award for the most comfy winner, accepting the award for his performance in “Ted Lasso” while wearing a tie dye hoodie.
The internet at large grew quite excited about his choice of wardrobe, and it turns out despite the casual nature of the apparel, his hoodie is just as out of reach to the average consumer as a bespoke gown.
That’s because the hoodie, created by online dance workout company and athletic wear brand FORWARD_Space, is currently sold out. It typically retails for $110. There’s also several other tie dye tees in similar colorways, but they are also sold out.
From the product description, the Listen + Lead Tie Dye Hoodie is 50% cotton and 50% polyester fleece, with 5% of that polyester crafted from recycled bottles and plastic. It is tie-dyed by hand in Brooklyn and considered “a great mid-weight style for year-round wear with sweats or denim,” although there is no mention of how well it pairs with heartfelt speeches and award statues.
