Calle Jarnkrok signed a four-year, $8.4 million contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday. It has an average annual value of $2.1 million.
The 30-year-old forward had 30 points (12 goals, 18 assists) in 66 regular-season games for the Calgary Flames and Seattle Kraken last season, including four assists in 17 games after he was acquired in a trade by the Flames on March 16.
Jarnkrok had four points (one goal, three assists) in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the second round (No. 51) of the 2010 NHL Draft, Jarnkrok has 241 points (106 goals, 135 assists) in 574 regular-season games for the Flames, Kraken and Nashville Predators, and 19 points (four goals, 15 assists) in 75 playoff games.
Toronto (54-21-7) finished second in the Atlantic Division last season, losing to the Tampa Bay Lightning in seven games in the Eastern Conference First Round. They have qualified for the playoffs each of the past six seasons but have not won a round since 2004.
The Maple Leafs signed goalie Ilya Samsonov (one-year contract) and forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel (one-year contract) on Wednesday. They also traded for goalie Matt Murray on Monday.
