Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles to play on Christmas Day

The Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants will square off at 3:30 p.m. CDT Dec. 25 as the NFL returns to Christmas in the 2023 season even though the holiday isn’t on a Sunday.
With Christmas on Sunday in 2022, the NFL played most of its Week 16 schedule on Dec. 24 and featured three game on the holiday.
For 2023, the NFL plans another tripleheader, with the Eagles and Giants meeting as the middle game. The location of the Philadelphia-New York game as well as the other two Christmas games have not been announced.
The NFL plans to release its complete 2023 schedule at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Last season, the Eagles beat the Giants three times on their way to Super Bowl LVII – 48-22 on Dec. 11 and 22-16 on Jan. 8 in NFC East games and 38-7 on Jan. 21 in the second round of the NFC playoffs.
In those three games, former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 57-of-89 passes for 600 yards with four touchdowns and one interception and ran for 124 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries for the Eagles.
FOX will televise the Eagles-Giants game on Dec. 25.
