Tommy Fury guarantees he will show up for Jake Paul fight
Jake Paul has promised he will fight Carl Froch if the former world champion beats Anderson Siva on his undercard.
YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul is scheduled to fight bitter rival Tommy Fury next weekend in Saudi Arabia after two previous bookings between the pair have fallen through. Paul is set to earn a world ranking if he wins and the American has challenged Froch to face his former opponent Silva at the event, promising the Brit a fight against him if he beats the UFC legend.
“Carl Froch mad because I made more in one year than he made his whole career. You want the payday. I get it. So let’s do this, fight Anderson Silva on my next card and if you get lucky and beat him, then we can step in the ring and you make your career payday. Let me know,” Paul wrote.
Paul’s tweet comes in response to comments Froch recently made about his boxing skills, insisting ‘The Problem Child’ would lose against any retired boxing world champion. Since ditching his internet fame for a career in the ring, Paul is unbeaten in six professional fights and most recently defeated Silva last October.

“If a fight with Jake Paul genuinely transpired and he thought to himself, ‘Yeah I’ll take Froch on’, which he never-ever would because it would be ridiculous,” Froch told iFL TV. “I might be 45 years old but any retired professional world champion that keeps themselves in good shape would have absolutely no problem playing with Jake Paul.
“It would be like a mismatch. You’d probably have to train a little bit, just to get the lungs and heart filled up with a bit of air. Get yourself so you can do at least two minutes of one round,” he continued. “You don’t have to worry about doing two or three rounds, but you do need to be able to throw at least 10 punches. So yeah I’ll get myself in the 10-punch state but it ain’t going to happen.”

Paul has stepped away from the crossover boxing world and wants to start challenging himself against ‘actual boxers’ in the hopes of eventually winning a world title. Froch holds no grudge against the American but has warned him not to call himself a “professional fighter”.
“These YouTubers aren’t [putting on] real boxing matches, it’s entertainment,” Froch added. “I’m including Jake Paul in that, he’s not a professional he’s an entertainer. He’s good at it so fair play to him, I’ve got nothing against him. Just don’t call yourself a professional fighter, you’re a performing clown as they say.”
