Jake Hager has turned babyface.

During the February 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy defeated Mike Bennett in a non-title singles bout. But afterward, Undisputed Kingdom members Roderick Strong and Matt Taven attacked Cassidy until an expected face appeared.

Former Jericho Appreciation Society member Jake Hager was the one to run down and clear the ring of the Undisputed Kingdom before raising Cassidy’s arm.

Unexpected reinforcements help even the odds against The Undisputed Kingdom!

It appears that this is the first time Hager has appeared on AEW programming without being associated with Chris Jericho or members of the Jericho Appreciation Society. Hager has been aligned with Jericho since the first episode of AEW Dynamite in October 2019.

As a result of the encounter, Hager will now face Roderick Strong this Friday on AEW Rampage.
