Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has broken her silence on a shocking heart attack scare which saw her rushed to the emergency room during Tuesday’s KIIS FM breakfast show.
The radio shock jock, 48, was treated for an ‘infection’ at emergency and has since been released from Royal North Shore in Sydney.
And on Wednesday morning she jumped straight back into The Kyle and Jackie O Show studio to reassure listeners she was doing okay.
‘I just got a bunch of tests done. I was there all day. They have to rule out everything,’ she said when co-host Kyle Sandilands asked what happened at the hospital.
‘You have to get the ECG done, blood test, and they check lungs as well. Those are the two things that cause the chest pains that I had.’
The media personality went on to say she also ‘got a CAT scan’ before praising the ‘incredible’ staff who took care of her at the hospital.
KIIS FM gave listeners an update on Jackie’s health condition Tuesday evening, just hours after the radio star was rushed to emergency.
Jackie was rushed to the hospital halfway through the show, after experiencing tingling down her arm, which can be a symptom of a heart attack.
Late in the afternoon, the official KIIS and Kyle and Jackie O Instagram accounts assured listeners Jackie was fine with a heartfelt statement.
‘To our loyal listeners, Thank you for your kind messages and concerns. Jackie is okay,’ the statement read, tenderly.

Jackie left fans concerned she was ‘having a heart attack’ after she suffered tingling down her arm, just one day after an operation to get uterine polyps removed
Jackie had undergone a procedure to remove a uterine polyp, a growth attached to her uterus, only one day before.
Kyle and Jackie were preparing to interview Angela Bishop when she started experiencing symptoms.
‘She just stepped out for a lay down. She’s got like a corset dress on and she had an operation yesterday,’ Kyle explained.
‘She also didn’t sleep much because of Intern Pete’s melatonin tablets that kept her up and then she’s been on the Red Bulls this morning.’
Kyle explained that Jackie had ‘all these pains down her arm and chest pains before being sent home’.
Kyle then said Jackie was leaving the show to visit the hospital.

Before Jackie left, the pair called Sam Hay, also known as Dr KIIS, to ask if she was experiencing heart attack symptoms.
He told her to check her pulse and said it could be lack of sleep but if she continued to feel unwell she should seek medical attention.
‘Jackie has started to feel shooting pains down her left arm the day after the surgery,’ Kyle said.
Jackie added: ‘And chest pain. But I don’t feel short of breath. I was nauseous before. The pain is dull down the arm.’
Earlier in the show, Jackie had revealed she had visited her gynaecologist for a procedure on Monday. She got Uterine polyps removed
Earlier in the show, Jackie had revealed she had visited her gynaecologist for a procedure on Monday.
Jackie was set to interview John Laws earlier in the day, but he ‘hung up’ after she spoke of her operation on air.
Uterine polyps are growths attached to the inner wall of the uterus that expand into the uterus, according to Mayo Clinic.
The polyps are usually non-cancerous, although some can be cancerous or can turn into cancer.
