Big Brother: Henry and Jordan talk about friendship ‘smooth sailing’

Big Brother viewers have been left shocked after Jordan appeared to end his ‘love triangle’ in the London mansion on Friday night’s episode.

The 26-year-old lawyer has had a complicated relationship with Matty and Henry since the Channel 4 reality series premiered last month, with many fans wondering if he has feelings for either, neither or both of his fellow housemates. Jordan has notably shared a kiss with the Henry on two separate occasions, prompting audiences to declare the two as ‘husbands’ and predict longterm love. He’s also shown serious chemistry with Matty, regularly connecting with the Isle of Man doctor in deep conversations.

“I had a very long conversation [with Matty], today was always going to be the most extreme of days,” he told Henry, before establishing that he had no intention of coupling with up with food critic. “Also I think I need to say to you, our friendship is platonic right? Your friendship to me means more to me than every other friendship in here combined and I would never want to lose you as a friend.”

Jordan then assured Henry that he thinks the 24-year-old is “fabulous,” after telling him he doesn’t care whether his parents are “Elon Musk or homeless.”

“I think you’re such a decent guy and I love chatting to you,” he insisted. Despite appearing disheartened by Jordan’s words, Henry didn’t attempt to change his mind. “I think you’re great too, you make me laugh a lot,” he said.

Jordan then shouted at Matty, “I’ve just told Henry about our new pact and it’s going to be smooth sailing.” In a follow-up conversation, Matty apologised to Henry for his recent behaviour in the house. “I’m sorry for it spilling out onto everyone else because that’s not cool, it has been awkward these past couple of days and I do acknowledge that.”

Earlier that same evening, Matty tried to confide in Jordan about his feelings only for the Lincolnshire native to shut down the heart-to-heart.

“I didn’t realise how stressed out I’ve been,” he confessed. “I have to always think about monitoring my behaviour…like can I sit with Yinrun, Trish and Henry, can I not?” After Jordan apologised, Matty admitted to feeling “isolated from the group” and “left out.”

“I can’t honestly do another cycle of we become friends again and then we don’t,” he explained. “Not being able to speak to anyone about how I feel and it’s all just come to a head today.” The massage therapist also said that the “hot and coldness” was “getting” to him, hinting that he wasn’t able to take any more of the uncertainty.

Jordan responded by admitting he too was struggling but he’d rather “live with some delusion”, to which Matty challenged, “Don’t you think the delusion is hurting both of us?”

“No, because I know the answer,” Jordan disagreed. “If I look deeply enough I know the answer, I don’t need to hear it said I allowed. I know what the problem is and the only solution is detachment and that’s cool. I don’t need to hear it rubbed in my face.”
