In an exceptionally close vote, Western quarterback Ty Keeler edged Concord receiver and return specialist TJ Allen to be named Player of the week.

With more than 30,000 votes cast, Keeler had less than a 600-vote advantage when polling closed.

The Panthers quarterback threw for 123 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 80 yards and a score as Western beat Harper Creek in Week 6. He was 7-for-17 passing and his 51-yard touchdown opened the scoring.
