Ismaila Sarr’s David Beckham-esque goal was described by Rob Edwards, the Watford manager, as a “moment of genius” but the striker went from hero to villain at The Hawthorns.
Sarr scored with a 60-yard chip from just inside his own half in a goal reminiscent of then Manchester United midfielder Beckham, the strike that launched him to stardom in 1996.
