Investigation underway after five lions escape enclosure at Taronga Zoo

Director of Mogo Zoo Chad Staples has discussed and speculated how five lions escaped their enclosure at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo earlier this morning.

The popular Sydney attraction went into lockdown after a Code One was sounded at the zoo at around 7:30am on Wednesday.

“This is a world-class institute that puts the safety of people and their animals before anything,” Mr Staples told Sky News Australia.

“They would be checking every component of the zoo today.”
