Strictly Come Dancing’s Ellie Leach and Vito Coppolo are fast becoming the dark horse of this year’s competition after putting in a series of sizzling routines, with their connection off the dancefloor not going unnoticed either.

The pair have been labelled as one to watch on the popular dancing show as they continue to impressed the judges week after week. However, there may be more to their dynamite pairing as they grow closer as the weeks pass by.

Some viewers have suggested if the pair are harbouring feelings for each other. Corrie star Ellie, who played Faye Windass on the soap, is currently single after breaking up with her partner model amid rumours he cheated.

According to a body language expert who has been keeping an eye on Ellie and Vito, the Strictly pro is making the actress feel ‘valued and safe’ with Ellie shining in his presence.

Body language expert Darren Stanton, reporting for Betfair Bingo, said Ellie and Vito have ‘really turned a corner’ and are going to be an unstoppable force in the compeition.

Darren said: “They’ve proven their place. Something miraculous has seemed to happen. She embraced every move, step and rhythm with confidence and strength.”

He said he found that in previous shows Ellie was “holding” back but now she seems to have been “reborn”. He added: “Previously, I found that Ellie was holding herself back quite a bit, but this week, it’s as if she was reborn and had all this energy. I get a sense Vito makes her feel valued and safe.

“Everyone could see how electric their connection was, especially at the end of the routine. It was as if nobody else was there and nothing else mattered. Everything was on point. Ellie was elated and you could see Vito feeling the same way as Craig told him he had done a fantastic job. I feel that Ellie may go further than I initially thought.”

Ellie and Vito haven’t had many negative comments during the competition, with many thinking they could go the distance. Ellie has quickly become a fan favourite and many hope she will be the celebrity contestant to lift the glitterball trophy this year.

The former Coronation Street star is currently thought to be single after splitting with her dancer boyfriend earlier this year after five years of dating. The actress split from model and dancer Reagan Pettman in May, with a source saying, “Ellie and Reagan decided to call things a day and she is making the most of her single status”.

They added that Ellie had “taken time to reflect which direction her life is going in”. Ellie later revealed the reason for the split was that Reagan had cheated on her, telling The Mirror: “Being cheated on was upsetting, but now’s the perfect time to put my all into Strictly and give that 500 percent.”

Meanwhile, dance partner Vito is also thought to be single after being in a relationship with singer Arisa, who was his celeb partner on Italy’s 2021 version of the show but the pair are also understood to have called time on their romance. Vito and Ellie haven’t been quiet about their blossoming friendship, often sharing videos and photos of each other on their social media pages.

Vito recently referred to Ellie as “baby” in a post as he shared a clip of their Samba dance. Vito wrote in the caption: “Well done baby @ellielouiseleach You are making me proud every single time!”
