Inside Love Island star Lana Jenkins’ luxury girls trip to LA after shock Ron Hall split

LANA Jenkins enjoyed a glamorous girls’ trip to LA just before her split from Ron Hall was made public.

The Love Island runners-up went their separate ways after just three months of dating, leaving fans shocked.

Makeup artist Lana didn’t appear to be struggling with her emotions as she explored LA with pals Fran Allen, Liv Hawkins, Sophie Piper and Joanna Chimonides.

The fashionable group were in California for the Barbie x BooHoo launch, which took place at the five star The West Hollywood EDITION hotel.

They wore their finest glam frocks for the lavish launch, which was in contrast to low-key days spent hiking in the Hollywood Hills and messing around by the pool.

In snaps shared to Instagram, Lana and the girls lapped up the stunning views of downtown LA and bronzed their bodies in the summer sun.

It looked like they enjoyed some yoga, too, and, on the night, cocktails flowed as the girls tucked into delicious food.

Ron and Lana, both 25, met on the winter series of the show this year but struggled with long distance and busy work schedules.

A source said: “Lana and Ron really put everything into their romance and have tried to make things work for some time now.

“Unfortunately, they have decided to separate, which is a decision they have made amicably and of course, they still remain good friends.”

They continued to tell MailOnline that the distance between their respective homes in Manchester and Essex, some 200 miles, contributed towards their split.

Ron had spoken about problems with distance between the two of them before.

He told us: “It’s not forever. Every relationship at some point, it’s natural to move in together.

“It’s weird we get so many questions like ‘when are you moving in?’ and you’re like… baring in mind we’ve only been together a couple of months, one of her big goals and one of my big goals is to buy a place up there, and down here, have our own bases.

“Then when we’re ready, it could be six months, a year, two years, I don’t know, then we’ll buy together.

“I can see myself going up there, I can. I feel like leaving my friends and family would be like hard, but for her I’d do it. I don’t care. So that would be the natural profession.

“But right now, we’ve been out five/six weeks, I think we spend six or seven days apart, everyone sort of grilled me I think for when I said I want to miss her.

“When I’m not with her, it’s actually quite hard. It’s well hard.”

Ron and Lana didn’t have the smoothest of rides in the villa.

The two coupled up on day one, but by day five Ron recoupled with Tanyel Revan and the hunk wanted to explore their connection.

By day 10 Ron had recoupled again with bombshell Ellie Spence, leaving Lana gutted.

Meanwhile Lana was left in a pair with Aaron Waters, and later decided that she wanted to see if she could see a spark with Casey O’Gorman.

After exploring her connection with Casey, Lana decided that Ron was the man for her.
