CLASS act James Doyle gets a huge chance to bang in his first Group 1 for Ballydoyle today – something to warm the heart!

It’s been a tough season in many ways for Doyle as the number two for the Charlie Appleby Godolphin team in a term where the boys in blue have been unusually quiet.

But Doyle, who can’t remember ever having a winner for O’Brien, remains one of the biggest talents out there.

He is on top Ribblesdale heroine Warm Heart in the feature Pertemps Network Yorkshire Oaks over a mile and a half live on ITV.

Ryan Moore, who is Aidan O’Brien’s go to man, will be on likely favourite Savethelastdance, a leading St Leger hope after finishing second in the Oaks at Epsom and going one better in the Irish equivalent.

WARM HEART was only fifth behind her stable companion at the Curragh, but I have a feeling she will get much closer this time.

On that occasion Warm Heart was never placed to challenge, but she had shown what she can do at Royal Ascot when Bluestocking was behind.

This could be a very rare and huge chance for Doyle to show ‘the Ballydoyle lads’ what he can do.

RELIEF RALLY has been crying out for six furlongs and she might well have much more to offer at that distance so should take all the beating.

It’s all about whether he’s in the mood but he’s plenty of track form and is handicapped to run a massive one. I’ll risk him each way.

Finally a Listed contest in the Galtres Stakes over a mile and a half.

It’s interesting Marquand is on SEA THEME over Market Value.

The latter has plenty to find on ratings but gives us an idea that the Haggas stable hold the recent Doncaster winner in high regard.

The daughter of Sea the Stars stayed on well to score last time and might be even better on this ground as it was soft that day.

She’s open to any amount of improvement.
