Ianis Hagi leaves Rangers to join LaLiga side – official | OneFootball
Ianis #Ianis
Rangers have confirmed that Romanian playmaker Ianis Hagi has moved to Deportivo Alavés on a season-long loan in what spells the end of his Ibrox career for the ex-Genk man.
It’s a heck of a move, really, a move to a LaLiga side, albeit a recently-promoted one, and Hagi will hope his performances in Spain prove his worth and he gets a move permanently either to the Basque Country where he now is, or elsewhere.
But it’s Alaves who have got their man, and Hagi is now away to try to prove himself all over again in a very strong league that will show whether or not the Romanian has what it takes to shine at football’s top level.
This is the move Hagi wanted – a top five league with world class quality throughout – and he believes this is the level he deserves.
However we cannot see him ever being a part of Rangers’ plans going forward, even in the future, no matter how he plays.
His comments at Michael Beale were the death knell on his Ibrox career.
