Huskies Put Up Biggest Pac-12 Win Of Year

Pac-12 #Pac-12

TEMPE, Ariz. – The #6 Washington Huskies handed the #14 Arizona State Sun Devils their worst loss since 2019, rolling to an 11-1 run-rule victory in five innings.  Washington hit four homers for the second game in a row while allowing only five baserunners. The win moves Washington to 24-4 on the year and 3-2 in Pac-12 play.

It was the first time Washington had scored 10+ runs in back-to-back games against Pac-12 foes since 2019. Baylee Klinger, Sami Reynolds, Morganne Flores, and Noelle Hee all homered, with Klingler and Flores homering for the second game in a row. Hee and Sis Bates each had three-hit days. Eight different Huskies scored runs in the game. Washington scored four batters into the game and had runs in four of the five innings, only being held off the board in the fifth inning when the game was already 11-0.

Gabbie Plain made it 18 consecutive starts without a loss, improving to 14-0 on the season. Plain reached the 100 IP mark today in her 11th complete game of 2021. She struck out six batters, allowing four hits.
