The Cowessess First Nation enlisted the aid of an underground radar detection team three weeks ago to search grounds near what was the Marieval Indian Residential School, two hours east of Regina.
The school was founded, and operated by the Roman Catholic Church, in 1899. The federal government took over the administration of the school in 1969, followed by the Cowessess First Nation in 1987. The school was closed in 1997.
