Hull City among clubs linked with transfer move for youngster dubbed the next ‘Jamie Vardy’

Vardy #Vardy

Hull City have been linked with a move for Bromley right-back Kellen Fisher with the 18-year-old predicted to enjoy a similar career trajectory to Leicester City star Jamie Vardy.

Vardy famously rose from non-league to winning the Premier League title with the Foxes and playing for England, and Fisher’s recent form in the National League has alerted a host of clubs to his availability, and the prospect of making a similar rise through the leagues.

City are one of a host of clubs said to be tracking the teenager, with Wolves and Brentford credited with interest according to Sun Sport, along with the Tigers’ Championship rivals Swansea City.

As many as 10 scouts were present at Huish Park on Saturday to watch Fisher perform for Bromley in their 1-0 win against Yeovil Town, according to the report, his 19th outing of the campaign thus far – he picked up the club’s player of the month crown in January.

Fisher came through the Bromley academy, making his debut in an FA Trophy tie with Dover Athletic last term, and has spent time out on loan at Welling United and Cray Wanderers, and has since become a regular at Hayes Lane.

Predominantly a right-back, Fisher can also operate on the right side of midfield. The play-off-chasing side pinned Fisher down to a three-year contract back in February, in a bid to protect themselves financially, should he move on this summer.

City expect a busy summer in what will be Liam Rosenior’s first as head coach at the MKM Stadium as he looks to add quality to his ranks in a bid to mount a promotion challenge next term.
