Hughson woman crashes Camaro into tree on Highway 108 west of J59

A woman from Hughson was hospitalized Tuesday with moderate injuries she suffered when she lost control of her Camaro and crashed into an oak tree on Highway 108 just west of La Grange Road in Tuolumne County, a California Highway Patrol spokesperson said.
Sarah Freitas, 54, was driving her 2015 Chevrolet Camaro west on Highway 108, west of Rushing Hill Lookout Road, at about 65 miles per hour when she went into a left-hand curve just after 11:30 a.m. and went off the north edge of the pavement of the highway, Steve Machado with the Sonora-area CHP said in a statement.
The Camaro kept going on the dirt and grass shoulder for about 100 yards and struck a tree, totaling the car.
An ambulance crew came to take Freitas to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
