HS roundup: Liverpool swimming wins fifth straight meet

Kaitlyn Thompson and Delaney Gellert each won two events to help the Liverpool girls swimming and diving team to a 112-74 victory over Cicero-North Syracuse on Saturday. The win was the fifth-straight for the Warriors.
Thompson won both the 200 freestyle in 2:11.03 and the 100 freestyle in 57.62. Gellert took the 200 individual medley in 2:24.0 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.43.
Other first-place winners for Liverpool included Emerson Gellert in the 100 butterfly, Chloe Brown in the 500 freestyle and Domenique DeRuijter in the 100 backstroke.
Jamesville-DeWitt 103, Oswego 82
Gwen Lister won the 200 freestyle in 2:06.44 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.48 to help the Red Rams to victory.
Sydney Delapp won both the 200 individual medley and the 100 butterfly and Grace Wing took the 40 freestyle and 100 freestyle events for Oswego.

Liverpool 3, Oswego 0
Elliott DeForge scored a double-double with 10 kills and 16 digs, Jackson Furr added 13 digs and Anthony Pezzino had 27 blocks as Liverpool won with set scores of 25-18, 34-32 and 25-14.
Living Word Academy 3, Baldwinsville 1
Jacob Mazaur and Timothy Plewak combined for 22 kills, Ian Micheal had 12 digs and Matthew Rudisky recorded 30 assists in the Lions’ win.
Girls Volleyball
Baldwinsville 3, West Genesee 0
Brooke Clute and Kyrah Wilbur combined for 24 kills and Jenna Garvey recorded 26 assists as the Bees won their third straight win of the season.
Fayetteville-Manlius 3, Jamesville-DeWitt 1
Molly McNany and Morgan Napier combined for 26 digs and Harper Stoppacher and Kaylene Nobel combined for 21 kills to lead the Hornets to victory.
Hamilton 3, Clinton 2
Kerrigan Kelly had 10 digs and 37 assists while Kyleigh Pearson had 15 kills in the win for the Emerald Knights. Jenna Rogers added 17 digs while Craven McKinley and Colleen Kelly had 10 digs each.
Fulton 3, Oswego 0
Natalie Frost had seven kills and seven aces and Sydney Sachel recorded 19 assists in the win for the Red Raiders.
Phoenix 3, Central Square 1
Danielle Loy had 14 kills and Alayna Dashnau added 22 assists in the Firebirds win.
Track and Field
Cicero-North Syracuse wins first indoor track meet outdoors.
The Northstars edged out East Syracuse Minoa, 35-34, while scored 25 points and West Genesee 4.
