HS boys’ hoops roundup: John Driscoll, JJ Yates vault Farrell to come-from-behind win over Xavier, 48-38; ND, Moore also win

Senior John Driscoll and sophomore JJ Yates each turned in career highs in points Thursday and it helped Monsignor Farrell record a 48-38 CHSAA A division come-from-behind victory over host Xavier in Manhattan.

Driscoll, the Lions’ starting point guard, tossed in nine points and turned in an excellent floor game while Yates came off the bench to give Farrell a spark with a game-high 13 points, including three treys and 11 markers after halftime. Senior Del Bobish and junior Antonio Brittain also chipped in with 10 points apiece for the Lions, who improved to 2-3 overall, including 2-1 in league play.
