AFL grand final Geelong vs Sydney match preview

Both of these teams emerged in the second half of the year as probably the best in the competition.

Geelong in particular were dominant, with 15 straight victories leading into this grand final.

The last team to win 16 matches in a row in order to win the flag was Brisbane in 2001.AFL Grand FinalSydney themselves have won 9 in a row and have emerged as the biggest threat to the Cats.

The Swans have proven capable of stopping teams and limiting their strengths, particularly those of key forwards.

Geelong’s midfield has injected some pace and flair which was probably the missing link in recent seasons.

In a genuine flip of the coin we think Geelong will record their second premiership under Chris Scott, some 11 years after the first.
