IT’S GOING TO BE MORE LIKE SWEATING TODAY, ELE SOUTHWICK, AS THE TEMPERATURES ARE RISING. LEE:HE T SUN IS RISING, SO OUR TEMPERATURES. WITH ALL THE SUNSHINE TEMPERATURES ARE SOARING. WITH ALL THE SUNSHINE AND HUMIDITY EVEN THOUGH THE HIGHS WILL ONLY BE IN THE MIDDLE 90’S, IT WILL FEEL MEOR LIKE THE UPPER 90’S AND LOW HUNDREDS OUT THERE LATER ON THIS AFTERNOON. VERY HOT AND HUMID. IF YOU ARE HEADING OUT ON THE BOAT TODAY, THE MAIN CONCERN IS THE HEAT AND THE SUN. THE SUN ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THE UV INDEX IS EXTREME TODAY AT 11. MAKE SURE TO PROTECT YOUR SKIN WITH SUNSCREEN, SUNGLASSES, AND A HAT. THE HEAT IS WARMER THAN WHAT WE ARE USE TATHIS TIME OF YEAR. THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE IS 89 DEGREES. THE LYON THING THAT COULD REALLY BUST THE FORECAST ISF I IT HITS THE TOOFP THE TEMPERATURE SENSOR AT THE AIRPORT. THERE IS A 40% CHANCE FOR INRA TOMORROW BUT I THINK IT ARRIVES LATER IN THE DAY TOMORROW. YOU CAN SEE THROUGHOUT THE MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS WE STAY DRY. THOSE OF YOU WHO SEE A THUNDERSRMTO HAVE THE RISK FOR DAMAGING WIND GUSTSITH W A VERY LOW RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER TOMORROW, A MARGINAL RKIS. SAME STORY FRIDAYOR F THE NORTH SHORE, THE RISK AGAIN WILL BE THE DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND OVERALL RAIN CHANCES THAT ARE STAYING LOW. Another hot and humid day is in store. High temperatures will top out in the middle 90s, but heat index values will be on either side of 100 degrees. The UV Index is extreme today, so sun protection is a must if you plan to be outside for long periods of time. Rain chances are at 10%, so an isolated shower or storm is possible.Tomorrow will be another hot day with near record heat. Our average high temp this time of year is 89 degrees, but the forecast is 94 degrees and the record at MSY is 95! The one thing that could bust this forecast is if rain develops over the airport around the peak heating hours of the day. However, I think the rain will arrive later in the day. Overall, there is a 40% chance of showers and storms. Not everyone will see rain, but those who do will have a risk of damaging wind gusts.Friday features a 30% chance of showers and storms. On the Northshore, storms could bring a risk of damaging wind gusts. Otherwise, it will be hot and humid with highs near 94 degrees.Temperatures will be around 92-93 degrees over the weekend with a 30% chance of rain.
