J-hope is back! The BTS star has announced a new project, Hope On The Street, despite currently serving in the South Korean military.
J-hope announces new album, documentary On February 18 KST, J-hope took ARMYs by surprise when he announced the release of a new project, Hope On The Street. BTS’ label BIGHIT Music dropped the first teaser for the upcoming project on X (formerly known as Twitter), with the caption, ” 2024. 03. COMING SOON.” In the clip, J-hope looked uber cool as he grooved to one of his upcoming tracks in public. Take a look at the clip right here:
Wile many fans were surprised as well an confused about the mysterious project, some fans brought back a an old clip of J-hope teasing the project. During his appearance on fellow bandmate Suga’s show Suchwita, the rapper had spilled the beans about his second solo documentary. Revealing that the documentary would focus on his story as a dancer, J-hope said, “The dancing scene is much bigger than you think. It just hasn’t risen up to the surface,” before adding, “I travelled around the world and filmed with a lot of amazing dancers.”
The BTS star also shared that he would be releasing a special OST album along with the documentary. “It’s just a special album. I’m preparing something where people can enjoy good-quality content. Six songs, its just really light music this time, songs you can dance to.
J-hope’s professional lifeBefore enlisting for mandatory military service in April last year, J-hope released his debut solo album, Jack In The Box, in July 2022. He also dropped collaborative singles with Crush and J.Cole and performed at major events such as Lollapalooza India 2022, MAMA Awards 2022 and more.
