The co-founder of one of the most popular hardware stores said he plans to continue to financially support Donald Trump even if the former president is convicted over his various indictments.
Bernie Marcus, the co-founder of Home Depot, assured his support for Trump despite the fact that he is facing four indictments, all of which stem from different criminal cases. Trump is the front-runner in the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential primary despite simultaneously dealing with the criminal cases, which include his involvement in the January 6 Capitol riot and his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia.

“I think so,” Marcus told Reuters when asked if he will continue his support for Trump even if he is convicted. “Because I think it’s all trumped up.”

Marcus, who supported Trump in his 2016 and 2020 runs, stated he recently spoke to the former president, who was “very happy” about his support.
Last year, Marcus described President Joe Biden as “the worst president in the history of this country.” He also criticized socialism, under which “nobody works.”

“We used to have free speech here,” Marcus said. “We don’t have it. The woke people have taken over the world. You know, I imagine today they can’t attack me. I’m 93. Who gives a crap about Bernie Marcus?”
The Iowa caucuses will start in January, which will be an important point in the Republican Party’s 2024 primary. Biden announced earlier this year that he will run for reelection, meaning the 2024 presidential election could be a rematch if the former president becomes the GOP nominee.
