Melissa McCarthy has been in Australia with her family filming the miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers, and more recently Thor: Love and Thunder.
And on Wednesday, the 50-year-old actress revealed she was bitten by a huntsman spider during her trip Down Under.
The Hollywood star shared a hilarious video to Instagram of herself lying in bed with bandages on both hands.

In the post, Melissa is first seen saying: ‘I love that all the bugs and creatures will kill you.’
She is then pictured lying in a bed with bandages on both her hands and a towel on her forehead.
‘After professing my love of Australian critters to InStyle magazine, I was quickly reminded by someone that I was conveniently forgetting the aftermath of some of those “magical” bites,’ Melissa wrote.

The comedian has been in Australia since last year filming the upcoming TV series Nine Perfect Strangers, which is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty.
The $100million production was being filmed in Byron Bay and other parts of NSW.
The series will tell the story of nine stressed-out urbanites who escape to a wellness retreat run by Nicole Kidman’s character.
Melissa and her husband Ben Falcone were also recently spotted on set Thor: Love and Thunder alongside Matt Damon and Luke Hemsworth.

Melissa was seen cackling as she sported a huge green headpiece to transform into Hela, who was originally played by Cate Blanchett in Thor: Ragnarok, which proves she has earned herself a coveted place on the movie.
In December, a source told The Daily Telegraph Melissa enjoyed working in Byron so much that she wanted to shoot her next project, God’s Favorite Idiot, Down Under.
‘They [Melissa and other Hollywood stars] just love it in Australia and absolutely want to make the series here,’ an insider told the publication.
‘With everything going on in the U.S. right now, the pandemic is out of control, they want to stay here.’
