Hollyoaks star Ellie Henry has called for a romantic story involving her character Freya Calder.
In recent weeks, the teenager has been pining for teacher Hunter McQueen, with the story getting complicated as she falsely accused him of kissing her.
After he was suspended, Freya recanted her confession and admitted to DS Zoe Anderson that she lied in the hope that Hunter would reciprocate her feelings.

With her story with Hunter now wrapped up, Freya will attempt to move on from the incident, and Henry teased that a relationship could soon be formed with a schoolmate.
“Let’s go for someone her own age next time,” she told Inside Soap. “I’d love to see her with Mason. They had such a nice little bond when she was in the show before.
“Freya missed him going through all the incel stuff, and they used to be close. Both of them have been through a lot and need some happiness. I’ve seen some of the fans online think the same.”

Elsewhere in Hollyoaks, Freya’s schoolmate Charlie will continue to struggle with his mental health, with stepfather Darren attempting to work out the best solution for his son.
Ashley Taylor Dawson recently revealed that he had supported his co-star Charlie Behan during the storyline, commending the teenager for his performance.
“I set him [Behan] up with a charity, and made sure he did the research,” he revealed. “When you go through a storyline like this, a lot of people open up to you on social media about what they’re going through. I wanted to make sure Charlie was equipped to deal with that.
“Charlie’s been absolutely incredible. I’ve worked with him since he was three years old, so he’s like my little boy – but at the same time, my best mate. I have so much respect for him. I’m excited for everyone to see what he’s been up to,” he added.
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
