Hogs Game Day: Missouri beats Arkansas 48-14

GAME DAY #GAMEDAY

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Hogs are hoping to close out the season with a win against the Tigers on Friday.

The Razorbacks (4-7, 1-6) are set to face off against Missouri (9-2,5-2) at 3 p.m. in Razorback Stadium. For fans not in Fayetteville the game can be watched on CBS.

FOURTH QUARTER UPDATE (48-14)

After struggling without Jefferson, the Hogs offense managed to get on the board when Jacolby Criswell hit Andrew Armstrong for and 8-yard touchdown pass to make the score 41-7.

Arkansas’s offense continued to build momentum which was capped by a 6-yard run by Isaiah Augustave to move the score to 41-14.

Missouri got the ball near the Red Zone after recovering an onside kick attempt. A few plays later, Nathaniel Peat scored on a 1-yard run to extend the lead to 48-14.

THIRD QUARTER UPDATE: (41-0)

After recovering a fumble in the beginning of the 2nd half, Missouri’s offense took advantage when Brady Cook hit Brett Norfleet for an 16-yard touchdown pass to put the Tigers up 27-0.

The Hogs then turned the ball over again and Cook hit Norfleet again for a touchdown pass of 11 yards to put the Tigers up 34-0.

Arkansas turned the ball over again at the end of the quarter and Missouri lineman Jayden Jernigan returned it for a touchdown to put the Tigers up 41-0 to end the quarter.

SECOND QUARTER UPDATE: (20-0)

To start the quarter, both teams traded punts and neither offense managed to get much going.

With the quarter at the 5:51 mark, both teams got into a scrum that led to Missouri lineman Armand Membou and Arkansas linebacker Zach Williams and lineman Eric Gregory were disqualified from the game.

Eventually Missouri got the ball moving again and quarterback Brady Cook scored on a 3-yard run to put the Tigers up 17-0.

As the half was winding down, the Tigers got on the board again when Harrison Mevis kicked a 22-yard field goal to put the Tigers up 20-0.

FIRST QUARTER UPDATE: (10-0)

The Battle Line Rivalry kicked off with the Tigers getting the ball first and they also got on the scoreboard first when Cody Schrader punched it in for a 2 yard touchdown to put the Tigers up 7-0.

Arkansas got the ball and at the end of a 22 yard rush, KJ Jefferson fumbled the ball and the Tigers took back over. Jefferson was injured on the play and Jacolby Criswell took over behind center for the Hogs.

Missouri took advantage of the turnover and Harrison Mevis kicked a 24-yard field goal to bring the score to 10-0.
