High1 Seoul Music Awards 2021 Red Carpet: Top 10 looks featuring Stray Kids, Treasure, Aespa, Twice, Itzy and more

High1 Seoul Music Awards finally happened and the red carpet looks of the globally popular K-pop groups took social media by storm. From YG’s charismatic rookie group Treasure’s chaotic Red Carpet interview to sizzling looks of fourth-generation superstars JYPE’s Stray Kids, SM Entertainment’s Aespa, Twice and Itzy’s ethereal looks, here are our top 10 favorite looks of SMA Red Carpet event.

The 30th Seoul Music Awards organized by Sports Seoul and broadcast through KBS N is taking place on January 31 with attendance of the star-studded K-pop stars including the popular K-pop soloist Kang Daniel, popular girl-groups Iz*one, Monsta X, Nu’est, K-pop supergroup Ateez, Itzy and more.

Top 10 Red Carpet looks of SMA Twice

Nation’s favorite girl-group Twice who recently performed their hit track ‘Depend On You’ in Time100 looked ravishing in all-black outfits, setting ultimate goals for K-pop red carpet looks.

Iz*one

Nominated for the main prize and popular award as well, the 12-member K-pop act consisting of Jang Won-young, Sakura Miyawaki, Jo Yu-ri, Choi Ye-na, An Yu-jin, Nako Yabuki, Kwon Eun-bi, Kang Hye-won, Hitomi Honda, Kim Chae-won, Kim Min-ju, and Lee Chae-Yeon rocked the red carpet looks in pink fairytale-meets-modern chic girl outfits. Kang Daniel

Kang Daniel, deemed as one of the most promising K-pop soloists of South Korea who recently swept the Apan Music Awards with the most number of wins, arrived in a navy blue suit as fans called him the ‘King of K-pop’.

Itzy

Best new female artist of 2019, the five-member K-pop act Itzy embodied the boss woman look with White power suits with lace and more, serving the ultimate girl-group look. The group released their third EP ‘Not Shy’ in 2020, which reached number one on the Gaon Album Chart with sales of over 219,048 units.

Ateez

Crowned as the new “4th Generation Leaders” by the Korean Ministry, Ateez has been charting high after debuting in 2018 with their ‘Treasure EP.1: All to Zero’. The eight-member K-pop group consisting of Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho appeared in navy blue and grey ensembles, proudly holding the SMA icons and looking dapper as always.

Treasure

YG’s super-rookie group Treasure, who recently won the rookie of the year award at Golden Disc Awards, were as chaotic as ever in their red carpet interview acting goofy for the camera. The 12-piece K-pop act released their first album ‘The First Step: Chapter One’ while debuting and has been a fan-favorite from the very beginning of their K-pop career. 

The Boyz

‘Road to Kingdom’ winner The Boyz, who are going to compete in Mnet’s Kingdom next, appeared in all-black suits. The group currently consists of 11 members — Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Haknyeon, Sunwoo and Eric.

Aespa

SM Entertainment’s girl-group Aespa debuted in 2020 with a new theme of combining the virtual self of the members with their real experiences. The name Aespa derives from avatar and experience. The multi-national K-pop group consisting of Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning slayed the red carpet look with all-black outfits.

Seventeen

Pledis Entertainment’s Seventeen is the new rising group of K-pop with global acclaims and record-breaking achievements. The self-composed K-pop group consists of 13 members and three subunits of ‘Hip-Hop’, ‘Vocal’ and ‘Performance’. The group recently made their American television debut by appearing on James Corden’s late show along with Kelly Clarkson’s talk show.

Stray Kids

Stary Kids, one of the most formidable K-pop groups who made their place in Time Top songs of 2020 with ‘Back Door’ also won the main category prize. The JYP Entertainment’s K-pop group consisting of Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N. appeared in tweed jackets, winning the approval of the internet as one of the unique looks of the group.

TXT

Big Hit Entertainment’s BTS didn’t appear for the Red Carpet but TomorrowxTogether did and Moas can’t get over how charismatic their casual outfits looked for the carpet.

ENHYPEN

Big Hit’s rookie group Enhypen didn’t come to play, they came and conquered with black and red suits. The group that debuted in 2020 with first extended play (EP) ‘Border: Day One’, has already won the Rookie award at the Gaon Chart Music Awards and the Fact Music Awards.
