Speaking on Nedum Onuoha’s Podcast, Alex Iwobi has named former Arsenal star Santi Cazorla as the best player he’s ever seen or played with.
The Spaniard was an absolute joy to watch on his day, and while Iwobi didn’t get to play too many games alongside him for Arsenal, due to injuries and poor timing, he clearly made a big impression on the Nigeria international.

“I just want to say, Santi Cazorla is the best player I’ve ever seen and played with. Left foot, right foot he’s a joke. If you see his physique, and you see him on the streets in north London, you think ‘this guy just doesn’t look like a footballer’, but he’s a magician with the ball. It’s crazy,” Iwobi said.

The Everton winger certainly isn’t wrong about Cazorla.
The midfielder was one of the best players in the Premier League in his day, and while the Gunners had so many talented players during Iwobi’s time at the club, Cazorla stood out.
The Spaniard’s time at Arsenal came to an unfortunate end as injuries kept him out of action for almost two years before he left the club in 2018 at the age of 34.
What the Gunners wouldn’t give to have a player like Cazorla in their ranks right now.
