Here’s what Warriors’ Steve Kerr said about Steph Curry’s injury

Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry appeared to be in pain following a scrum for a loose ball with Celtics forward Al Horford in the fourth quarter of Wednesday night’s 116-100 loss to the Celtics in Boston.

With 4:07 to play in the fourth quarter and the Dubs down 12, Curry dove to the floor after a loose ball at the same time Horford did and the 240-pound big man appeared to land on Curry’s left leg in replays.

Curry stayed in the game and looked hobbled at times, before finally being pulled with two minutes to play.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was asked about the injury after the loss, with a reporter asking him if there was an injury that forced him out of the game.

“No, you mean when they dove on the floor for the jump ball? I kept him in the game,” Kerr said.

“Then you took him out at the two-minute mark,” the reporter replied.

“I took him out with 2 minutes because we were down by 14 points,” Kerr said.

“So no concern for Steph moving forward?” the reporter followed up again.

“I didn’t say that. The injury didn’t force him out of the game. I took him out down 14 with two minutes left because we weren’t going to catch up. We’ll know more tomorrow.”

Draymond Green confirmed that Curry was “screaming at the bottom of the pile,” blaming his sixth foul on ripping a Celtic off Curry.

If Curry does have any sort of injury, he won’t have much time to nurse it — Game 4 is set for Friday at 6 p.m. in Boston.
