Tottenham boss Antonio Conte will have been left ‘disgusted’ by two huge errors from his side that cost them in the north London derby against Tottenham.
Spurs fell to a 3-1 defeat at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon as Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League having won seven of their eight games this term.
Harry Kane’s penalty ensured Tottenham went in at half-time level having cancelled out Thomas Partey’s stunning opener.
But an error from Hugo Lloris saw the hosts take the lead once again, spilling a shot from Bukayo Saka directly into the path of Gabriel Jesus who tapped home from close range.
Tottenham’s hopes of getting back into the game were dealt a decisive blow when Royal was shown a straight red card after 62 minutes after a rash challenge in his own half on Gabriel Martinelli.
Five minutes later, Granit Xhaka rifled home a third to put the game to bed.
With Tottenham still in the game in the second-half, Rio Ferdinand believes the Spurs boss will have been left furious with those moments.

‘I would love to be in changing room right now listening to what he [Antonio Conte] has to say because I think he will be disgusted with the red card, Emerson Royal, but also the goalkeeping from Lloris,’ Ferdinand told BT Sport.
‘It is little moments like that that change big games and there were too many today for Spurs.’
Ferdinand continued: ‘He will be disgusted with the two situations that cost them, the goalkeeper and the red card but also the first-half, they had opportunities to really punish Arsenal in the transition but it was the final pass wasn’t good enough.

‘It is about those moments where the quality was not good enough. He will be just as disappointed with that as he is with those big mistakes’.
Conte, who made four substitutions as Tottenham fell 3-1 behind, refused to discuss the red card incident but insisted the game ‘went’ after his side were reduced to 10 men.
‘With the red card, [went] the game,’ he said. ‘It was a really difficult game after that. We had to change totally then. It was the referee’s decision and I don’t want to comment.’
