Hayley Vernon: MAFS bride and OnlyFans star lashes out at Australia Day date protests
Australia Day #AustraliaDay
MAFS bride turned OnlyFans star Hayley Vernon has expressed her frustration at people “boycotting” Australia Day after targeting Woolworths for its choice to ditch the Australia Day merchandise.
In a story to Instagram, the 35-year-old lashed out about the controversial holiday.
“Why is Woolworths boycotting Australia Day? Thank god I don’t shop with them anyway,” she began.
“Now, I know to some, this is going to be controversial but at what point do we stop having to apologise for the wrongdoings of people many generations before us?”
Woolworths made a huge decision on Wednesday that has divided the nation — when they announced they won’t be stocking Australia Day merchandise due to a decline in demand.
Vernon then explained a woman in her apartment building had to apologise for suggesting a barbeque for Australia Day in their building’s group chat, and claimed she was worried she would be attacked.
“Child care centres are saying happy holidays as to not offend people who don’t celebrate Christmas yet the Christmas the holiday is just that, a holiday celebrating Christ,” she said.
The Melbourne influencer then had a dig at popular Australian lollies which were renamed due to their offensive meanings.
“When I went to get tattooed on Monday I went to buy lollies, there’s no redskins anymore, or Chico babies, I can’t actually remember what they have renamed them but ffs stop with all of this.”

Nestle rebranded Redskins as Red Ripper and Chicos to Cheekies after the racist references of redskins with native Americans, and chicos with Latin Americans.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese hasn’t made any announcements about whether the celebration date will change, but a number of local councils across the nation are choosing to cancel traditional activities to protest a new date.
After the Indigenous Voice to Parliament earlier this year didn’t pass, protests are expected to rally across the major cities of Australia demanding the date be changed.
Vernon first appeared on Married At First Sight’s seventh season in 2020.
After her time on the show, she joined the adult entertainment platform and revealed she earned close to $90k in the first month of being on it.
