Over the course of his 63-day spell on Wearside, Beale took charge of twelve matches and suffered defeat in half of them.
He led Sunderland in the first Wear-Tyne derby in nearly eight years and was the first Sunderland boss to lose the tie since Steve Bruce in 2011.
Beale’s final match in charge proved to be Saturday’s 2-1 defeat away at Tony Mowbray’s Birmingham City.
