‘Has he taken over Stark Industries?’ – Fans troll David Haye over ‘Iron Man glasses’ during Fury vs Whyte fight

BOXING fans have trolled David Haye over his eyewear – likening his glasses to those worn by fictional character Tony Stark.

Haye’s choice of glasses for his Fury vs Whyte punditry duties weren’t extravagant by any stretch of the imagination, but that didn’t stop viewers from comparing them to Marvel character Stark.

One asked: “Why does David Haye look like Tony Stark?”

And another said: “David Haye going with the Tony Stark look!”

One remarked: “David Haye channelling his inner Tony Stark.”

Another chimed in: “Why is David Haye got Tony Stark glasses on for.”

Haye defied the warning of Fury’s dad John not to attend Wembley to call the fight for BT Sport – which ended in a Fury win after an absolutely perfect uppercut in the sixth round.

In an interview with iFL TV, a fired-up John recently said of Haye’s prediction for his son’s next fight: “Don’t talk about jealous maniacs.

“I’m telling you, he’s not allowed to be there. Because if he is, they’ll regret it.

“If David Haye is commentating on this fight, I’ll tell you now David, you’ve shot your mouth off one too many times and it’s too far.

“If you’re there, mate, have your tin hat on because you’re going to need it, that’s all I’m saying.

“All them other people are has-beens, what are they now? They’ve spent all the money they’ve had.

“They’ve had millions of pounds and they haven’t got the brains to invest it, they’re skint members blowing off blue tick companies for a few quid.

“Let me tell you something, it’s like p***ing in the ocean.

“You can give them all the money in the world and people like that it’s no good to them because cleverer people will take it all off them.”

Former WBA heavyweight champ Haye drew the ire of Fury for his prediction for Tyson’s showdown with Dillian Whyte.

He said: “If I had a pound, I’d put it on Dillian Whyte for the upset. Yeah, I’m going with Dillian with the massive, massive upset.”
