Harry Styles has once again broken the internet after pictures of him dressed as Ariel from The Little Mermaid emerged.
The “Watermelon Sugar” singer took part in a photoshoot for Saturday Night Live back in 2019 and the photos are causing a stir on social media this morning.
The 27-year-old Grammy-award-winning artist is seen with the characters iconic red wig and green fishtail—but is enjoying some champagne and a cigarette while posing.
Needless to say, legions of the heartthrob’s fans have been expressing excitement over the shots as waves of memes and jokes emerge.

In a testament to the singer’s range, many are joking that he has been cast to play Ariel in the upcoming live-action remake of the classic 90s film—despite having already turned down the role of Prince Eric.
“Sources say that Harry Styles will be playing the role of Ariel in the upcoming Disney movie ‘The Little Mermaid,'” joked one fan.
Another shared two side-by-side photos of Styles, tweeting: “ariel and prince eric are the best Disney couple.”
“so that’s why harry turned down the role of prince eric, he wanted to be ariel all along,” joked another.
“harry styles has officially claimed ariel and her entire brand,” reads another tweet.
Styles previously spoke about turning down the role of Prince Eric for the Disney remake.
“I had a meeting with Rob Marshall, the director, who is the most wonderful man,” he said speaking on U.K. radio show Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp.
However, he added: “He’s great, and it was just honestly a few things and it just wasn’t… It’s going to be an amazing film.”
Awkwafina, who is lined up to play seagull Scuttle in the film, also spoke to the radio station about Harry almost being in the film
“I think I came on a little bit later [than when Harry Styles was said to be cast as Prince Eric],” she said.
“I am a big fan of Harry Styles,” she said, but also praised Jonah Hauer-King, who was eventually cast in the role, adding: “[Jonah] is really great, too.”
Harry previously broke the internet when he appeared on the cover of Vogue wearing a dress, sparking a huge debate about masculinity and femininity in fashion.
For many, the shoot is a celebration of fashion and expression. As Styles told the publication himself: “There’s so much joy to be had in playing with clothes,” referring to his androgynous fashion choices.
“I’ve never thought too much about what it means—it just becomes this extended part of creating something,” he said.
