Should fans of the “Harry Potter” series get their robes steamed and the dust blown off their wands?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a live-action television series based on “Harry Potter” is in early development talks for HBO Max, the cable channel’s streaming app.

The Hollywood Reporter said that executives at both HBO Max and Warner Bros. are meeting to find a writer and a pitch for the show, but no writers or actors have yet been tapped.

Variety also confirmed through multiple unnamed sources that a show is in the very early stages, but a statement to the entertainment publication by both HBO Max and Warner Bros. said “There are no Harry Potter series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform.”

Entertainment Weekly also reported that Warner Bros. and HBO both said outright that there is no official television project.

The “Harry Potter” seven-book series has sold over 500 million copies worldwide, Variety reported. The eight-film franchise grossed $8 billion worldwide. There have been two “Fantastic Beasts” films with three more planned, as well as a Broadway play, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”
