Harry and Andrew’s strategy to win The Traitors involves ‘turret and mind game’, ex-Traitor Paul says

The final of BBC’s The Traitors airs tonight and it will either be a victorious win for the Faithfuls or a villainous victory for the Traitors.

Traitors Harry Clark and Andrew Jenkins have survived many nights of secret murders together and their close pairing could see them swoop in for the £120,000 prize – but Faithfuls Evie Morrison, Jaz Singh and Mollie Pearce still have time to sniff them out at the last round table.

Both Harry and Andrew have been playing their most treacherous games, but with the omission of last night’s murder and no Traitor meeting in the turret, could it all falter for them at the last hurdle? According to ex-contestant Paul Gorton, that midnightly meeting played a very important role in their gameplan.

There was no murder last night – meaning Harry and Andrew haven’t had a final chance to ‘become Traitors’ in the turret

Speaking to The Mirror about the Traitors’ strategy to fool the Faithfuls, Paul said they had to use their ‘Faithful brain’ in and around the castle and daily challenges, but once they reached the turret at night, the Traitors could allow themselves to step into the mischievous role and choose who to murder.

Paul said: “Our strategy was to be a Faithful up until you got into the turret, and when you got in the turret, you became a Traitor. If me and Harry saw something Traitor-related, we had to call it out. So we had to call out Ash, otherwise we made ourselves vulnerable. We had to go with our Faithful brain.”

Since Paul was banished from the round table, Harry has continued to play with his ‘Faithful brain’ by building a close relationship with Mollie, banishing ally Ross, and choosing to put his £7,000 prize into the group pot. However, he was clearly disappointed by host Claudia Winkleman’s announcement that there would be no final murder.

Now, Harry and Andrew don’t have the opportunity to discuss their tactics in private in the turret – unless they can steal a quiet moment alone, which Harry is always wary about doing. In the final episode tonight, the contestants will all sit down for one more roundtable, where the Faithfuls can vote off another Traitor.

After that, it’s up to the remaining contestants to decide if they want to end the game. This decision is made by the contestants, who must all throw a ceremonial pouch into a fire to show whether they have voted to end the game or not. They will only vote to end the game if they believe there are no more Traitors amongst them.
