Hangman Page vs. Swerve Strickland Ends In A Draw, Three-Way Bout For AEW Title Set For AEW Revolution

Samoa Joe has two challengers.

Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland competed in a number one contender’s match on the February 7 episode of AEW Dynamite with the winner set to face Samoa Joe for the AEW World Title at AEW Revolution.

However, after 30-minute, no one scored a pinfall and the bell rang to signify a draw.

Swerve was on the verge of victory, hitting a JML driver and getting a two count before the bell rang.

Swerve asked for five more minutes, but Hangman denied him, saying he didn’t beat him to become the number one contender.

Tony Schiavone announced that both men are the number one contenders and Samoa Joe would defend the title in a three-way bout at AEW Revolution.

After the match was announced, Joe said AEW was once again celebrating mediocrity and that neither man deserved to be in the ring with him. He said that no matter, he’ll walk out the AEW World Champion and both men would suffer.

Swerve previously defeated Hangman at AEW WrestleDream and in a Texas Death Match at AEW Full Gear.
