The “New Americana” singer, 26, announced Monday in an Instagram post that she welcomed her first child, Ender Ridley Aydin, with screenwriter Alev Aydin.

USA TODAY reached out to Halsey’s reps for comment.
The news comes less than two weeks after the singer announced her punk-rock album, “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power” (out August 27), which she called “a concept album about the joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth.” The NSFW cover art features a breast-baring Halsey holding a baby in a Renaissance-themed background.

“This cover image celebrates pregnant and postpartum bodies as something beautiful, to be admired,” she captioned the post. “We have a long way to go with eradicating the social stigma around bodies & breastfeeding. I hope this can be a step in the right direction!”

Pregnancy: Halsey announces she’s pregnant and shows off baby bump in new photo
© Emma McIntyre, Getty Images For dcp Halsey is officially a mom! The singer welcomed her first child with screenwriter Alev Aydin.
Halsey first announced her pregnancy in January with a social media post that showed off her baby bump. In the picture, she’s seated, looking off into the distance and wearing a rainbow tube top and a pair of unbuttoned jeans.
“(S)urprise!” she wrote, followed by a trio of emojis: a bottle, a rainbow and a baby angel.
In a tag over her belly, Halsey tagged Aydin.
The rainbow emoji is likely a nod to the fact Halsey suffered a miscarriage while on tour about five years ago. A baby born after a pregnancy loss is commonly referred to as a rainbow baby. She later revealed on an episode of “The Doctors” that she froze some of her eggs.
“Reproductive illness is so frustrating because it can really make you feel less of a woman,” she said. “There’s a lot of times when you’re sitting at home and you just feel so terrible about yourself.
“You’re sick, you don’t feel sexy, you don’t feel proud. You don’t feel like there’s much hope.”
