Just as predicted, the teaser trailer for GTA 6 is going to premiere before The Game Awards and at a convenient time for UK gamers too.

After years of nonsense rumours and fan speculation the most recent leak about Grand Theft Auto 6 has proven to be on the money: the first teaser trailer will debut before The Game Awards and at a reasonable time of day.

According to Rockstar Games, what they refer to as Trailer 1 will debut at 2pm GMT on Tuesday, December 5.

There’s no other information of any kind but presumably the trailer will be available on YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and all the usual suspects.

The only thing close to a hint about what the game is about is the palm trees, pastel colours, and seagulls featured in the artwork for the announcement.

The imagery is very reminiscent of Florida and/or Vice City, which has long been rumoured to be the setting for the game and has not featured as the main location in a GTA title for more than 17 years.

The other main rumour about the game is that it will feature a Bonnie & Clyde style couple, probably named Lucia and Jason.

There don’t seem to be any hints about that in the artwork, but that’s not necessarily something we’ll find out about even on Tuesday.

The initial trailer for GTA 5 was purely a mood piece, showing off the location and graphics, with no indication of what the story was or who were the main characters.

It was only realised in hindsight that one of them was actually in the trailer already, so you may be looking at a similar style of reveal for GTA 6.
